What is the purpose
of an EDI VAN?

A Value-Added Network (VAN) is used to connect different partners for electronic data interchange (EDI).
It works in the same way as an electronic mailbox, which is used to send and receive dematerialised documents.
The VAN may be one more intermediary in your electronic transactions, but it frees you from internal control, technical updates and wasted time in adding new business relationships.

The advantages of VANs are:

  • multi-protocol (AS2,OFTP,FTP….)
  • multi-partner
  • technical experts at your service
  • an advanced monitoring system
  • support for your new business partners (from contact, to set-up, testing and deployment)
  • a reactive and operational service 24 hours a day
