Is EDI still
relevant today?

EDI has been around for more than 30 years now, and it is still used and firmly established in many companies of all sizes and in all sectors. It has been able to adapt to new technologies as they have emerged, particularly the Internet, to remain a powerful commercial tool for automated communication between companies. Today, it would be very difficult to get rid of it or replace it overnight with another technology.
