Carbody
Case study

Carbody, a French automotive equipment manufacturer, designs and produces plastic pedal units, a wide range of sealing parts (air, fluids, dust, etc.) such as window stops, air extractors and deflectors for the automotive sector.

Following its acquisition by Bavaria Industries Group AG, Carbody needed to move away from an EDI centralisation system managed by Trelleborg and find a VAN to route its EDI flows independently.

Customer needs

“To find a better alternative than the one offered by the Trelleborg Group supplier, we turned to Numlog, with whom we had just finalized an ENX connection project.

Our expectations were all the greater because we only had a week to choose a supplier before Trelleborg’s infrastructure was shut down for good.”

Numlog’s response

“Numlog offered us a financially attractive and technically promising solution, and was able to migrate our EDI flow to their Hub-Master VAN in less than 48 hours, with agility and peace of mind.

A few years later, satisfied with Numlog’s management of our EDI flow routing, we decided to outsource all of our EDI to them.

Integration with our SAP ERP was carried out using their system and they managed the translation of some 250 mappings with our customers, the world’s leading automakers.

Once again, Numlog’s teams were able to meet our requirements and make suggestions to help us reduce the number of mapping versions imposed by our former partner.

Building on our years of successful partnership, we are satisfied with our choice and have recently decided to extend our collaboration to their Networks & Telecom offerings.”
